Message. She was sure there was something important hidden there. Perhaps a clue to the treasure. She searched the bowl of flowers, the cobwebs in the corners, the lattice- and the lace… Somehow she totally missed it. Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Vellum Bristol using a black, Micron pen. Leaves. Take a close look at the string used for this Zentangle. Do you see it? I traced around a leaf template to create the basic string. The Ennies at the bottom left was added because I felt it needed something there, so it‘s in addition to the leaves. Zentangle drawn on olive card stock using a black, Micron pen. I‘ll have the cabernet. Actually, this is more the color of Welch‘s Grape Juice! I really liked this color combination. The gray and purple played nicely with each other and allowed for a good amount of contrast. Zentangle drawn on gray print making paper using wine and gray Copic multiliner pens. Ca-Ray-Zee! Ok, this is old, and I don‘t remember what I was trying here, other than to try tangling on a colored background with a different colored pen. This tile has no shading, and frankly, I don‘t think adding it would help at all. It looks like the string had lots of curves, but who knows how it all began! Zentangle drawn on colored card stock using a sepia Micron pen.
Busy. This tile is from a time when I used complicated strings and lots of tangles. But I think there are some interesting things here, that I‘ve further developed. For example, allowing one tangle to flow behind another. I also followed the string from the Cubine into the Striping. Now days, those concepts are used often when Zentangling, and are specifically taught in classes, tutorials and books! Zentangle drawn on Official Zentangle tile using a black, Micron pen.
Hungry? To me, it looks like the Bumper area is a mouth, getting ready to eat the Bronx Cheer. It makes me hungry! Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Vellum Bristol using a black Micron pen. Tangles: Bronx Cheer Bumper Cubine Dex Dribbetz Kule Vega Xircus
Squid inked. The Squid tangle is the central motif in this tile, but some of the other tangles hold their own because of their light/dark balance. Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Vellum Bristol using a black, Micron pen. Tangles: Bales Cubine Fescu Indy-Rella Squid Static Stoic Vermal
