Bioluminescence. She was fascinated by the lamp next to the sofa. She could see the creatures, slowly rotating around some central point. As their bodies moved in they became brighter, while the outer ones dimmed. She wondered what they fed on to create this scintillating glow. Today’s focus came from a post in the Mosaic app by Maria Thomas. She illustrated a new way of drawing Molygon, which she referred to as articulated! I love this idea! It ends up looking a bit like a string of beads, or a caterpillar, depending on what you decide to draw inside of each segment. I needed something to put behind it, and the very first tangle out of the jar was Locar!

Invasion. What were they? These small, twisting larve must portend the hatching of something new, something different. She grabbed her nets and basket and pulled up her skirts as she waded in to grab some for closer examination. Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Vellum Bristol using a black, Micron pen. Sunrise. She looked out the portal and realized the pink glow came from some kind of strange sun that appeared to send out some rather odd rays into the atmosphere. She would have to have the Science Officer run a complete scan to see what sorts of strange gasses were being emitted. This tangle started out to be a Molygon “sun”. I decided I needed to add some texture to each of the shapes, but Scrolled Feather was the first one out of the Tangle Jar.

Walking weird. Today‘s tangle is brought to you by the letter “W”, for “weird”. The random tangles for this tile were a really eclectic mixture of wild, crazy, and fun. I actually love Caviar and Nekton. Even though I didn‘t think these would all work together, it turned out OK in the end. Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Bristol Vellum using a black Micron pen.
