I’m sure you know that even though I do a lot of tangling, I also do other kinds of art. For examples of another kind, you can look at the Art Journal Pages gallery.
One of my favorite things to do is cut up printed or painted (or stamped!) paper into shapes and make pictures out of it. So I decided to indulge in a couple of my loves to creat and easter card!
Here, I’ve made a bunny paper doll, and then dressed her in her easter best. The paper doll and the clothing are separate so I can dress her in other outfits as the mood strikes. Also, she is not glued to the background, so I can change that, too.
These are so much fun to do. I generally end up with a fairly good-sized wardrobe for them after a while. I like to keep them in page protectors in a smaller sized (5.5” x 8.25”) ring binder. I generally keep the doll and the clothes together in one protector. When I want to play with them, I can take out the binder and easily find the one I want.
The finished, dressed dolls can be used for greeting cards, picture book illustrations, printed paper dolls for the grand kids, or even decorative posters.
Happy Easter to everyone!
