We missed celebrating Father’s Day on the actual day because we were in Providence at the CZT30 Seminar. So we celebrated yesterday. One of the things we did was to go to the Musical Instrument Museum . It is one of our favorite places to go because you learn about geography, history, music, and art all rolled into one. While my husband was walking around looking at the instruments, I spent a lot of time taking pictures of things that resembled tangles.
Hapy Halloween. When I was creating this tile, I wanted to have bats flying in front of the moon. There was no tangle that even remotely looked like bats at the time, so I created one. Here’s the step-out: This was so many years ago, when I was first learning all about Zentangles. Now I know that this isn’t really a “tangle”, but I am still sharing it with you for your Halloween pleasure!
Divided. The string used for this tile had multiple spaces that allowed for quite a few tangles. I tried to place the random patterns in an interesting way. But looking at it all these years later, it feels like this one needs some stronger contrasts. It‘s a bit too even. Zentangle drawn on Official Zentangle tile using a black, Micron pen. Sometimes I think of arranging tangles on the tile kind of like flower arranging. I didn‘t really draw a string on the tile for this, instead, I had the concept of mixing the Thanksgiving and B‘Dylan together in a bouquet. But then I had to do something with the other random tangles, so this is the end result. Zentangle drawn on Strathmore Bristol Vellum using a black Micron pen.
