May is Mental Health Awareness Month. This year, the theme, as designated by Mental Health America is “Turn Awareness Into Action.” This encompasses taking action for yourself and taking action for all.

Zentangle is a tool for taking action for yourself AND for taking action for others. For myself, it helps me to deal with the stresses in my life. I also teach others, giving them new tools to deal with things in their lives.

Starting today, Zentangle Headquarters launched their “Bijou Be Well 2025” program. It is a 21 day program featuring a daily video for creating a simple tangled tile. The video contains no verbal instructions, just calm music. You can follow along with a purchased kit from Zentangle, or you can use whatever tools you have at hand.

I have chosen to create tiles on a pink background. I am doing this in honor of my therapist. This year she has been working not only with her regular patients, but also battling breast cancer and dealing with a family loss. I am doing this for her. I am doing this for me. I am doing this for everyone.
