“One Zentangle A Day” by Beckah Krahula - Day 12 - Tangle Values
If you squint at your tile, you will notice that some tangles appear lighter and some darker. The levels from light to dark are referred to as the “value” of the tangle.
In the tile above, the lightest value section is the one with Chillon. The darkest value would be the one with Printemps. The other sections fall in between at various levels.
Today’s lesson is all about the light/dark relationships of tangles. The first assignment was to draw a tile using Bales and Chillon in places of prominence and use other tangles already learned to contrast with them and help them stand out.
Also introduced are the tangles Bales, Beelight, and Chillon.
I don’t know that I exactly fulfilled the assignment because some of the other tangles I used are also attention grabbers! But it doesn’t matter to me, because I like the end result.
