“One Zentangle A Day” by Beckah Krahula
Day 20 - Another Look At Curvy And Linear Organic Patterns
The new tangles introduced in this lesson are Jetties, Sampson and ‘Nzeppel.
This tile is the final one I will be doing in this series. There is still a lot more in this book for anyone who is interested. If you don’t want to add it to your own library, you might want to check your local library if you want to continue with it.
Other than Bales, in the upper left corner of this tile, all of the tangles I’ve used here have come from the curvy linear or organic families. These types of tangles tend to be more complex and draw the user in to see the details that soften the designs. These same details add complexity and interest!
Huggins and ‘Nzepple are two of my favorites and I frequently include them (or use them exclusively) in my daily meditative tiles.
I hope this series has stirred your interest in both the book, and delving deeper into tangles, their classification, contrasts, and given you some new ideas for how to use them in your own creations!
