Random tangles, no string.
Sometimes, when I choose random tangles, I don’t use a string. This is the case here. I could see (in my mind’s eye) how these tangles would fit together so I just went with my mental vision.
I love drawing Cartoosh! It’s fun to create those connected spirals and then draw the lines to see what they turn into! This tangle is another one of my favorites.
For me, this tile evokes an indoor scene in front of a window. It’s almost as if the Festune are some kind of a plant which sends offshoots that grow up and turn into the Snare. The rolled up papers are perhaps drawings being stored behind the planter temporarily. Or maybe they are landscape drawings of what could be planted outside to join the view?
It fascinates me how an image can inspire the imagination and story telling!
