No string, specifically chosen tangles.
Over the weekend, we had some pretty bad storms. Lots and lots of lightning, wind, hail and heavy rain.
We lost power for many hours because the power poles, about a block away, fell down during one of the wind events.
When that happens, I can’t work in my studio or office because it is too dark. I can’t post anything because… no computer, which is not a surprise. In my case, I aslo have no phone because I live in a “cellular hole”. That’s also not a surprise, since my phone never works at my house!
I spent the weekend reading and savoring “ What Art Does, An Unfinished Theory ” by Brian Eno and Bette Andriaanse. This is a small, graphically illustrated book that explores what art does for us and why we need it. It doesn’t matter what form of art you ar considering, the information applies to painters, dancers, chefs, writers, and anyone else who “creates”! I highly recommend it to others because it makes you really think about both the art you create and the art created by others. By the end of the book, you may walk away with much greater understanding and appreciation.
So here is my tile for today, commemorating my book-loving weekend! I chose the two tangles, Rain and Lighning Bolt to commerate our weekend adventures!
Enjoy!
