ZenSnacks: Fragments V2 W7 X6 X7

When I don’t have a lot of time, or my attention span is having issues, but I still want to tangle, I turn to Bijou tiles. These small, two-inch square tiles allow me to complete something in a much shorter period of time. I refer to these as “ZenSnacks”.

I frequently use Bijou tiles to tangle a small amount of a particular tangle, along with it’s name, that I keep in an index I can browse through to look for a particular tangle I can’t remember the name of.

Recently, I have also been using them to create a single iteration of a Fragment. If I create four of them, I can use them to play around with what meta patterns can be created from a single fragment.

Sometimes, I just draw a single tile with an “enhanced” fragment, meaning I add my own touches to it including shadinging and highlights.

Above are four Bijou tiles with enhanced fragments. I am dealing with a bunch of dental appointments over the next weeks, so these are something I can do when I have breaks and feel up to tangling!

Enjoy!

Zentangles drawn on Bijou Zentangle tiles using a black, Micron pen. Shading done with graphite pencil. Highlights created with white chalk pencil.
