Ashley

I’m pleased to introduce Ashley, a Tilda Friends cat doll.

I’ve known about Tilda patterns for several years, but since I wasn’t sewing, I hadn’t given them a try. I was surfing the web the other day, and came across a series of FREE patterns for several animals and one human doll, in the Tilda Friends series!

There are eight in all: Cat, Fox, Dog, Giraffe, Elephant, Hare and Cow, along with the Fia Doll.

These sew together quickly, and the only “fussy” part would be attaching the ears. But even that wasn’t difficult!

I did use the same fabric that I used for Tuna's body because I don’t have a wide variety of greys. But I’m actually fine with that, since I like it. The only issue was that her eyes do blend into her body a bit.

While this style of doll, with a long body, can be a bit tricky to design clothing for, you don’t notice that length once they are dressed. I think it will be a fun challenge to come up with clothing!

I like this enough, that I’ll probably start on a fox right away. The bodies are basically all the same, so they can share outfits. And I think a fox would be a lot of fun!
